CHANGING TO BE BETTER

One day, when a hermit was meditating in a monastery, suddenly a robber entered into the monastery.

The robber threatened the hermit using a shiny sharp knife and threatening recluse as he barked.

Quickly remove all the money there is in this closet, otherwise I will kill you!” the robber shouted.

The money is in the drawerthere is no money in the closet , you are the one who took it, but please leave me a little bit because I don’t have any rice, if you do not leave me a little bit, I will be starving tomorrow!” said the hermit.

The robber took all the money in the drawer, when he was about to leave the place, the hermit said, “After receiving a gift from someone else, you should say thank you!”

“Thank you,” said the robber.

When he turned to leave the place, he felt his heart is very chaotic, he had never experienced a situation like this, he stopped at an instant, then remembered he was not allowed to carry away all the money, then he picked up a handful and put them on the table and left the place.

Some time later, this robber was eventually arrested by the police. After the interrogation, he admitted his actions, then the police took him to the hermit monastery.

The police asked the permit, “A few days ago this man came here to rob, is that right?”

He did not rob me, I gave the money to him. When he left the place, he was still able to say thank you, that is the actual incident,” said the hermit.

The robber who heard the words of the very tolerant hermit, could only bite his lip, his face wet with tears, unable to say a word and followed the police to leave the place.

When he was released from prison, he came to the monastery to meet the hermit, begged the hermit to accept him as his disciple. But when the hermit did not allow him to, this man then knelt outside the convent 3 days and 3 nights, the hermit finally accepted him to be his disciple.

People who make mistakes can repent and change for the better, a good example. (Erabaru/hui)
